Why do you attract haters and jealous people?

Yesterday, I was asked this great question from one of my boss babes and I thought it was so good that I would share my response with you too!
Her question was “How do you deal with your light shining and not having to worry if others are uncomfortable?”
This is a fully loaded question and there are multiple ways we can go with this! For starters, let’s focus on what you can do in this blog.
If you want to inspire & influence people, the most important thing you can do as a leader. is learn about basic human psychology. You need a better understanding on what people think, how people behave, and the “why” behind it.
We as humans are naturally selfish. In our minds, it’s all about “me”. On top of that, most people do not get enough attention in their everyday lives and crave someone to be interested and intrigued by them. Knowing this, in all of my interactions, I want to learn as much as I can about the person I am dealing with so I can better relate to them in the future.
These are my 3 steps to building a genuine connection in any conversation:
Learn about the other person. Find out what’s going on in their world.
Acknowledge them. Whether that is celebrating their wins or empathizing with their challenges, the other person wants to know that you care.
Ask or share something RELEVANT. If they just shared a win, asking more questions out of genuine curiosity or for advice on something you are doing that is similar is how you connect. If they shared a challenge with you, sharing a story about something you did in a similar situation, a book that you read on the topic, or some kind of resource that is relevant and/or helpful is also how you connect.
When you start to choose the information that you share with people based on what you think they can handle, what is helpful/relevant, and will be appreciated, you will attract less haters and jealous people.
For example, everyone in my family doesn’t need to know how much property my husband and I own. Honestly, if I wasn’t trying to inspire other women to create wealth and their dream life, I wouldn’t even post that I am a millionaire because I love my privacy.
However, as a transformational leader, I do have to share online and in-person to make a positive impact. Ever since I started sharing with INTENTION instead of FOR ATTENTION, the people I attract have been top-tier!
Here's the thing sis, if you need every person in your life to know every single thing that you’ve accomplished, you are seeking validation and should reflect on: why you still need to prove yourself to others and how you can become self-validated.
These are the kind of topics we will discuss at the Inspire & Influence Workshop and Networking Event!!
